Why aluminum for expeditions?
Aluminum crates are an excellent choice for research expeditions. Durability, lightness, versatility and environmental friendliness appeal to explorers who need to transport their equipment and materials safely and effectively.
Tough.
Aluminum a tough material that offers excellent durability and is resistant to the harsh conditions in nature. Aluminum crates withstand adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow and strong storms and keep the contents safe and dry. Even from wild predators, the contents of a ZARGES box are well protected.
Easy on the hand.
Another advantage of aluminum boxes is their lightness. Unlike other materials such as wood or steel, aluminum boxes are light and easy to transport. This is especially important for expeditions where heavy items are transported. Since aluminum boxes are easy to stack, they are particularly space-saving for storage and transportation.
Uniquely versatile
ZARGES offers aluminum boxes in various sizes to meet the specific requirements of the expedition. Besides the standard handles and latches, they can also be equipped with additional features such as wheels to increase comfort and safety.
No plastic, no problem.
Finally, aluminum crates are also environmentally friendly. They are 100% recyclable and can be used again and again, reducing the use of disposable packaging. This also allows research expeditions to be more environmentally sustainable.

Trail of Change
"The ZARGES transport boxes make an absolutely valuable contribution to each of our projects".
Hannes Künkel - Himalayan explorer, adventurer and film producer
During the scientific expedition project Trail of Change, Hannes Künkel and his team relied on aluminum crates from ZARGES to safely store their equipment. During their expedition in October 2014, the group investigated how global warming affects the glaciers and living regions in the Himalayas.
